Our product range includes specialised hydraulic machinery powered by Honda engines, such as hydraulic soil sampling machines, mainly for government departments, agriculture industry and environmental research. Christie Engineering has also used Honda Engines to make specialised power units for the diving industry, concrete cutting, and various government departments and councils.
Australian designed and manufactured, these machines are specifically developed for Australia’s hard and dry conditions and are capable of taking undisturbed soil samples to a depth not achieved in the past.
The machine is extremely lightweight, easy to operate and easy to mount onto a Hayman-Reece 50mm square type tow bar for convenient transport.
For environmental research and deeper type sampling to a depth of 6 metres, the soil sampling machine can be integrated and mounted in a box trailer.
The hydraulic power unit which powers the system is mounted on the tray of a utility, four wheel drive, or trailer.
Features of the machine are:
• Mast has 1100mm or 1600mm stroke.
• Standard hydraulic power unit, driven by a gx270 Honda petrol engine.
• Mast has adjustable down-force and maximum pull up of 3,000 kg.
• TEX22H Hydraulic hammer, 22kg producing 22-36Hz.
• Adjustable support foot to suit vehicle height.
• Two standard chrome molybdenum probe tubes are supplied with each machine. (38mm. x 1.1m or 50mm x 1.6m) These are many times stronger than mild steel tubes, giving unsurpassed performance and long life.
These machines are currently used by leading fertilizer suppliers, environmental companies and government departments Australia wide.
